Global Head of Enterprise Data @ Bloomberg

Gerard Francis is the Global Head of Bloomberg’s Enterprise Data business, which provides financial data, technology and services for the enterprise applications and infrastructure of financial institutions. Based in New York, Mr. Francis is responsible for running all aspects of the business, including product development, commercials, sales, implementation and support.

The Enterprise Data business produces high-quality pricing, reference and regulatory data sets, real-time market, event and news data, liquidity analytics along with along with data management and distribution technologies.  The business also includes Bloomberg Entity Exchange, a web-based platform that facilitates the secure management and exchange of information between institutional investors to comply with Know Your Customer (KYC), anti-money laundering and trade venue required by MiFID II.

Mr. Francis brings more than 20 years of experience in the financial technology and data management fields, much of which has been earned spent at Bloomberg LP. Prior to this role, he was chief of staff to Bloomberg’s co-founder Tom Secunda. Prior to that he was Global Head of Sales for Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific where he lead regional sales teams that support our customers’ use of the Bloomberg Terminal.

Mr. Francis has a Masters of Economics and Bachelors of Engineering in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology and Science. He is a graduate of Loyola in Jamshedpur India.
