Sofitel Bayerpost in Munich
Munich, Germany – May 18, 2023 –
After 2 years of virtual events, the DKF is back and better than ever. The event kicked off with an evening reception on 17 May at the Franziskaner, where guests enjoyed an evening of cocktails, schnitzel and networking.
On 18 May 2022, the 12th D-A-CH Congress for Financial Information took place at the Sofitel Bayerpost Hotel in Munich. The theme of this year’s congress was “Reshaping the financial world after the pandemic. De-centralisation and de-institutionalisation of financial services”. The day was filled with networking with industry leaders, presentations from leading academics and practitioners, roundtable discussions and panels on key industry topics. Bloomberg opened the event with a keynote on ESG, followed by further exclusive keynotes from global market leaders and researchers.
With more than 1200 registrations, 45 exhibitors, 3 panel discussions, 1 roundtable and 30 presentations in 5 thematic areas – (1) Market Data Products & Solutions, (2) Reference Data Management & Feeds, (3) Investment & Portfolio Management Trends, (4) Fintech Offerings & Technological Developments and (5) Sustainable Finance (ESG) – the event was once again the largest meeting place for the financial information industry worldwide.
The topic of the first panel discussion, moderated by Evert-Jan ten Brundel from TRG Screen, was “How has the pandemic helped our industry to accelerate new data services and technologies?” and was discussed by Stefan Weichert from Forrs, Milton Davison from Helaba Invest, Alex Wolff from Rimes and Andrea Kreuder-Brühl from Commerzbank.
In the second panel, Mike Bournes from Euronext, Paul Bhatt from ICE Data Services, Stephen Veasey from 3d Innovations, Ruben Perera from The Mexican Stock Exchange and Marc Berthoud from SIX Swiss Exchange, moderated by Dr Stefan Wilhelm from financial.com, discussed the question “Which user-oriented technology will change the market data industry in the coming years?”.
Finally, the third panel discussion, moderated by Dr Alexis Eisenhofer from financial.com, gave an outlook on “ESG preferences – risk and return”. This topic was discussed by Dr Ann-Charlotte Eliasson from Nasdaq, Prof Dr Christian Schmitt from Index Intelligence, Wiebke Merbeth from Bayerinvest, Don Huff from Bloomberg and Dr Wolfgang Dietl from ID.
DKF Women Roundtable
Anja Hohenaker moderated a very interesting women’s roundtable in which women were able to share their experiences with each other. Julia Bewerunge from ClimatePartner, Katja Lammert from MEAG and Dr Alexandra Hachmeister from Deutsche Bundesbank discussed why there is still a gap in the number of women in management positions and junior managers in the financial market and what impact this could have on the topic of ESG.
